The Audrey Horowitz Piano Studio is located in NW McMinnville and offers weekly in-person piano lessons.

Teaching Philosophy

Audrey Horowitz knows firsthand how transformative learning a musical instrument can be and strives to impact a positive experience to those wishing to learn. She believes the most important part of lessons is the relationship built between her and her students. By ascertaining the student's musical goals, interests, and learning style is the foundation of this relationship. 

Audrey is passionately committed to meeting each student's unique needs. Beyond her 10 years of experience teaching piano, she has also worked in special education in a Montessori environment for 3 years. She is skilled supporting all kinds of learners and loves to teach tools and strategies for success.

The curriculum chosen develops a strong musical foundation for staff reading, rhythm reading, music theory, history, and music appreciation and is supplemented with music selected by the student's interests. There also opportunities to try composing, accompanying, improvisation, and arranging. The studio offers 2 recitals a year for the community and noncompetitive performance opportunities hosted by Oregon Music Teachers Association.
